The Great Adventure Lab is an after-school science enrichment program. We’ve taught thousands of kids how to write their first robotics or video game programs (or both!). We do it all with a student-to-adult ratio of 7:1 for most classes. (You can find full descriptions, reviews and photos of all our classes and birthday parties at http://thegreatadventurelab.com.
Intro to Robotics A, Grades 1-2
Mon 6:15-7:15pm
Oct 30, Nov 6, 13, 20, 27, Dec 4, 11
Intro to Robotics A and B are two independent classes. Same curriculum, different projects. Take one or both in any order!
Here’s a fun introduction to the world of robotics and mechanical engineering, designed especially for grades 1 and 2. We’ll learn what programs do and how to write our own. Each class meeting, we’ll build a different project and then use motors, sensors, and our own programs to bring our creations to life! Projects include drawbridges, sliding fortress gates, motorcycles that pop wheelies… and more!
Areas of Exploration: Robotics, Programming, Mechanical Engineering
Class Format: Seven 60-min. meetings, once per week.
Tuition: $135 per student; min 11 / max 14 students. Parent aide for full class gets free tuition.
